British companies to spend more than ?1.75 Billion on search campaigns

It's been reported by e-Consultancy based on their research that British companies will spend over ?2.75 Billion on search campaigns this year and that's set to rise.

The majority of this spend is in paid advertising (?2.42 Billion), leaving ?330 Million spent on search engine optimisation an increase of 30% over last year. Although the rate of growth is lower than the previous year it's still very healthy with a positive outlook.

E-Consultancy have also reported that the market for online ad networks will increase by 60% to ?385 Million and that the spend on email marketing will increase by 24 percent to around ?270 Million.

In a difficult climate this highlights that companies are having to ensure they spend their marketing budgets in the most efficient and effective.
