British companies to spend more than £1.75 Billion on search campaignsIt’s been reported by e-Consultancy based on their research that British companies will spend over £2.75 Billion on search campaigns this year and that’s set to rise. The majority of this spend is in paid advertising (£2.42 Billion), leaving £330 Million spent on search engine optimisation an increase of 30% over last year. Although the rate of growth is lower than the previous year it’s still very healthy with a positive outlook. E-Consultancy have also reported that the market for online ad networks will increase by 60% to £385 Million and that the spend on email marketing will increase by 24 percent to around £270 Million. In a difficult climate this highlights that companies are having to ensure they spend their marketing budgets in the most efficient and effective. Posted : Friday 19th September 2008 |
